I saw the idea over on http://www.debraweiss.net/ and decided to join in.
If you've been a Christian for any length of time, you know the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32). I have never been a prodigal son. But I've been a prodigal daughter and the father I left behind was my Heavenly Father.
There were times in my life when I gave in to the desire to follow my own my way. But in the end when I realized how lonely, how unsatisfying, how miserable I felt inside, God was always the Father waiting and watching for my return.
So today, I praise God that He always welcomes prodigals back with open arms.
